Round One specialises in operating amusement complexes, primarily in Japan and the United States. Its facilities encompass not only traditional activities such as arcade games, karaoke, and bowling but also innovative attractions, including SPO-CHA (an acronym for “sports challenge”) and the Crane Game Stadium. SPO-CHA is a large-scale venue featuring over 50 unique and engaging activities, including futsal, bubble football, Segway riding, inline skating, and trampolining. The Crane Game Stadium, renowned for its extensive selection of games, houses between 300 and 600 miniature crane game machines per floor.
Since opening its first bowling centre in 1982, Round One has expanded to over 100 locations, securing an estimated 35%–40% share of the domestic bowling market. The company entered the US market in 2010 and has since gained popularity, increasing its store count to 50 despite disruptions caused by COVID-19. In the US, Round One is also developing Round One Delicious, a premium Japanese dining concept with an average spend per customer ranging from US$600 to $1,200.
